Ghanaian socialite Showboy has opened up about his harrowing experiences while incarcerated for the stabbing of Junior US.

In a candid interview with Deloris Frimpong Manso, Showboy revealed that he contemplated suicide multiple times while behind bars. He described the harsh conditions, including poor food and isolation, that pushed him to the brink.

“I had to fall in love with myself because I was thinking of killing myself. My mother didn’t even know I was in prison, but I knew someone might tell her because the news went worldwide. I tore the bedsheet they gave me to form a rope and hang myself. I tried so many times, but I couldn’t do it. I was filled with regret,” he confessed.

Showboy also shared how he managed to stay connected to the outside world through social media while in prison, revealing a surprising relationship with a prison officer.

Despite the traumatic ordeal, Showboy remains reflective about the incident, acknowledging the impact of his actions and the consequences he faced.
